Why Do We Need You?
Wealth Management is a growing business area at Nykredit, but current processes and system landscape lack the scalability, standardization, and automation needed to support our continued growth. We have launched an ambitious program to establish a future-proof IT platform, including a complete re-implementation of our SimCorp Dimension platform, the introduction of new SaaS solutions, and the redesign and decommissioning of in-house systems.

Join a Trust-Based Team
You will become part of Fund Accounting Products — a team of highly skilled specialists and engineers. We are responsible for supporting the Fund Valuation, Alternatives and Fund Accounting business domains. And we do so by building new solutions, transforming or decommissioning old ones, and maintaining our legacy systems until the new solutions are operational. High quality data is both the foundation and the output of our work, and this is where you come in.

Are You our New Data Engineer?
As a Data Engineer in Fund Accounting Products your role will be to develop new cloud-based solutions and data pipelines using modern technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Confluent Cloud Kafka, Apache Spark, and Terraform.

You will work at the core of our data infrastructure, ensuring that critical financial data flows seamlessly from source systems, through transformation layers, to end-user applications. Your pipelines will support real-time NAV calculations, reconciliation processes, and regulatory reporting—systems where accuracy and timeliness are non-negotiable.

Your work will involve designing scalable data architectures, capable of handling high volumes of transaction data, market prices, and positions, while maintaining data quality and lineage. You will collaborate closely with the business, the Product Owner, and other engineers to understand complex business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.

As we modernize our platform, you will have the opportunity to influence architectural decisions, introduce best practices for data engineering, and help shape the future state of our data landscape. You will work in an agile environment where innovation is encouraged, and your technical expertise will directly impact our ability to serve clients and meet regulatory obligations.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer who thrives in building scalable, efficient, and innovative data solutions. To succeed in this role, you should bring a strong technical foundation, collaborative mindset, and the ability to align with diverse stakeholders on complex data requirements.

Needed skills and experience:

• Proficiency in Python, Apache Spark, SQL, and data platform concepts (e.g., schema evolution, medallion architecture).
• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub), infrastructure as code, and data optimization.
• A mindset of "AI first", leveraging tools like GitHub Copilot and various chatbots.
• Redesigning legacy solutions and developing data transformation pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Apache Spark, and Python.
• Maintaining and monitoring Spark streaming platforms and infrastructure.
• Integrating data from external vendors via Confluent Cloud Kafka.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and external partners on data requirements.
• Ownership of your solutions, embracing a "you build it, you run it" approach to deliver stable, scalable, and self-healing systems.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Danish is a plus.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Sector knowledge in financial or market data domains.
• Strong documentation and presentation skills.
• Experience with structured streaming, Azure AD, Terraform, and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with distributed data platforms and cloud-native architectures.
• Additional skills in languages like C# or tools such as Databricks.

With a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and experience in data pipelines, event-based architecture, and cloud platforms like Azure, you’ll be ready to make a significant impact on our team.
