Senior Software Engineer for Middle Office Products in the Nykredit group

Are you passionate about building innovative solutions while maintaining critical systems? At the Nykredit group, we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Middle Office Products team.

At the Nykredit group, we are experiencing strong progress and, in the spring of 2024, we launched our Wealth Management platform program, where we are re-implementing our core portfolio management system SimCorp Dimension (as SaaS). As part of the platform program, we are securing that all our solutions are fit for purpose to integrate with the new core system. We envision our future in Azure, built on serverless and event-driven solutions.

The team
The Middle Office Products team is dedicated to maintaining and developing solutions within the area of controlling, compliance, risk, reporting and performance as well as being responsible for the reporting data foundation for Nykredit Wealth Management. As we use SimCorp Dimension as our core portfolio management system, many of the team’s tasks revolve around working with the system itself, as well as managing the data flows and integrations connected to it.

You will be part of an experienced international unit in Wealth Technology, consisting of data engineers, software engineers, SimCorp Dimension business analysts, a solutions architect and a product owner. Details of the role
As part of our team, you will develop new solutions with a strong focus on cloud technologies and modern integration frameworks. As we own a wide range of systems in the team (both modern and legacy), you will also be responsible for maintaining and operating these systems and helping eliminate technical debt. We work closely with the business, and you will be part of the whole development lifecycle.

Your primary role will be as a Software Engineer, but since our team handles a significant number of data-related tasks and is currently implementing the Microsoft Fabric platform, we expect you to also have an interest in data engineering and data platforms.

What We’re Looking For
We expect you to have:

• A technical degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline or brings equivalent hands-on experience in technology roles.
• Solid experience in software development, including maintaining, designing, and building solutions using .NET C# / C++.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (i.e., Grafana, Azure monitor, OpenTelemetry).
• Interest or experience in data platforms, data engineering, or analytics.
• Motivation to work across both modern and legacy systems. 

Nice to have:

• Understanding of DevOps principles and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code practices, such as provisioning with Terraform.
• Familiarity with Python and SQL for scripting and data manipulation.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, ideally using Kafka.
• Financial knowledge within Wealth Management.

Organization and workplace
The position is based in our new headquarter in Nordhavn in Copenhagen. At the Nykredit group, we prefer to work together in the office. You may work from home 1 day a week. We speak English in the team, but as the corporate language in the Nykredit group is Danish, it would be an advantage to speak or read Danish.
